Position Title:  Sales Consultant

Store Hours:  Monday – Friday: 10:00am – 700pm. 

Saturday: 10:00am – 5:00pm

Sunday:  12:00pm – 4:00pm

Daily Tasks: 

• Sales Consultants are expected to straighten and organize rooms every morning and throughout the day as needed.
• Updating price lists and fabrics.
• Assisting with decorating, arranging and moving furniture items as needed. 

Sales Duties:

• Sales associates work on an hourly draw wage along with commission on furniture sales.  Typical wages for sales consultants currently average between $11 and $20 an hour.  This depends on the skill, drive and motivation of each individual sales associate.
• Sales Consultants are expected to assist with the entire sale, start to finish, which includes qualifying customers, pulling things together, pricing, special ordering and follow up.
• Sales Consultants are also required to attend sales meetings.

Sales Training:

The first 15-25 weeks at the store will involve training every day of sales materials, computer training, pricing, store policies, shadowing, etc.  After this time of training is complete you are put onto the sales floor and are working commissioned sales.  Typically it takes 6 months to a year to feel comfortable on the sales floor.  With hundreds of vendors to choose from there’s truly a lot to learn.

Miscellaneous Notes:

This position is for ideal for someone who is self-motivated, driven and willing to work on attaining self-goals.  Commissioned sales can be as little or as great as one is willing to work.  The job requires extreme amounts of organization, follow up and efficiency in order to excel.
